Mt. Hood Lodge No. 32 met on September 9th at the Barberton Grange for our Stated Communication on the 1st Degree. The meal of Hazelnut Crusted Chicken and Wild Salmon, provided by Simply Thyme catering, was delicious. During the meal, we installed VWB Paul and Bro. Tim into their respective officer positions. A recitation of the EA Charge and the poem Fall Reunion gave us a proper start to a full meeting. VWB Paul led an engaging discussion about Chapter 13 of the Constitutions and the Lodge voted unanimously to change our By-Laws, making the Barberton Grange our permanent meeting location. Finances were discussed; an Audit committee is being created and a meeting to discuss the upcoming budget has been planned. (Meetings details below.) The Brethren celebrated Masonic Anniversaries with WB Dick P. (60 Years) and Bro. Ray H. (55 Years) and enjoyed hearing about their years in the craft. Bro. Alex discussed the Regius Poem and its clues to early Masonry. VWB David R. provided a bit of humor before we closed the meeting, peace and harmony prevailing.
